All our range hoods are manufactured from quality stainless steel in our factory at Mile End, South Australia. Starting with premium grade stainless steel, the components are precision laser cut. We then fold, weld, polish and assemble each cabinet to our exacting standards. Every unit is made from a combination of welded and bolted construction and has a hand polished finish, completed by one of our qualified tradespeople.
We only select premium grade stainless steel sheet metal for our cabinets. Stainless steel has excellent corrosion resistance, and the Type 304 grade we use as standard also has excellent cleanability and hygienic characteristics. If you require greater corrosion resistance, such as if your cabinets are close to the beach, then we can do a special order for you and manufacture from Marine Grade stainless steel.
The main components of Cronin Alfresco cabinets have a special surface finish know as a #4 grain.
Material thickness is also an important consideration when manufacturing Alfresco Cabinets. We select solid 1.6mm thick sheet metal for the base. This ensures the foundation of your cabinet is solid and supports the rest of the assembly. Our side panels are made 1.2mm thick and this adds to the overall strength of the cabinet. Likewise, door panels are a solid 1.2mm construction. You can see and feel the difference of a Cronin Alfresco Cabinet.
All our cabinets are 700mm deep. This gives you plenty of bench space to prepare your cooking and also means there is plenty of storage space below. The single width units are 606mm wide and the BBQ unit is 986mm wide. All our units are 900mm high and have some flexibility with the adjustable feet that come as standard. We have partnered with Euro Appliances to supply you with a range of exceptional European made BBQs, cook tops, and Beverage & Wine coolers which seamlessly fit into our cabinet range so that you can be assured of the highest quality stainless steel alfresco package.
Our Cabinets are NOT FLAT PACKS. The Cabinets are manufactured and assembled in our factory for your convenience so you can be up and cooking on you Cronin Alfresco kitchen in no time. The adjustable legs are supplied separately. These are easily mounted to the underside of the cabinets. If you have purchased 2 or more cabinets then you can simply join them together with the provided brackets and mounting bolts. Similarly, if you need a blanking end panel, then it is simply attached to the side of the end cabinet using the bolts supplied. We do not offer installation directly; however, we can put you in touch with several installers who will be happy to unpack your cabinets, place them in the desired location and join the cabinets together.
All the Euro appliances can be plugged straight into an outlet. If you need to add or move power outlets, a Licensed Electrician needs to perform this work. We can put you in touch with several Electrical contractors who will be happy help.
If you have purchased a sink unit, then hot and cold water can be connected, and a waste pipe will need to be fixed. We recommend all plumbing work be carried out by a Licensed Plumber.
Generally, no, as the BBQ can be connected to a 9kg LPG bottle with the supplied fittings. (for more details see the BBQ specification sheets). However, there may be some occasions, such as a fixed Natural gas installation where a Gas fitter is required.
Your BBQ Alfresco Cabinets are manufactured from premium grade T304 stainless steel. Stainless steel is a low maintenance material but is not maintenance free. Providing you follow a few simple procedures it’s aesthetic appeal will last for years. Do not use abrasive cleaners, scourers, or cloths, as these will damage the surface. Do not use powder cleaners. Always wipe in the direction of the grain or polish. For further information please see our Stainless Care and Cleaning Guide.

As your order is handcrafted in South Australia, we recommend that you allow up to four weeks for the order to be ready for pickup or dispatch.
